Indian Knowledge System in English Studies

Abstract

The paper aims to lay out the connection between English Literature and Indian Knowledge system. Indian Knowledge System touches wide area of study from Vedic literature to Astronomy, arts to science and technology, medicine to astronomy, philosophy to architect etc. on the other hand, English literature is modern literature. Introducing IKS in NEP will strength Indian Education system and make the student aware of Ancient Indian Education system. It also strengthens the bridge between ancient and modern and always promotes holistic Development of society. This study presents a comprehensive analysis of English literature, Indian English literature and IKS.
